Beauty Products for Every Seattle Girl

The chosen few that make our days a little brighter/easier.

We're not L.A., with 365 days a year tanning needs, and we're not New York, those classic big city beauties — we're our own unique Seattle selves. Different needs and different aesthetics. Here's what some of our own beauty experts recommend the quintessential Seattle girl have on her bathroom shelf.

Seattle girls like the natural look. Samantha at the NARS counter in Nordstrom recommends the NARS Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 to keep skin protected all year long and provide easy coverage.

Kristen at Sephora thinks that drybar Dry Shampoo is the perfect beauty product for Seattle girls — because washing hair is such a chore and we've got grunge era tendencies running through our veins.

"I feel like my girls in the fashion world always wear one of two things in Seattle and they would be an orangey red lip or a subtle cat eye," says hair/makeup artist Kaija Towner. "My favorite orangey red matte is the NARS Red Square pencil. It's a bit of a signature and it can be a tiny bit dry, but it lasts and people always compliment it."

Setideh, a beauty consultant at Nordstrom, recommends an eye cream with SPF, since the under eye area has the most delicate skin. Something like  Ole Henriksen's Total Truth Eye Créme with SPF 15.

Desiree Stordahl, Senior Beauty Editor for Paula's Choice, writes that "Seattle is a fast-paced, hard-working city which is exactly why we need some help winding down. A soothing facial mask at the end of the night is my secret weapon. The great thing about the Paula’s Choice Radiance Renewal Mask is that you don’t have to wash it off, which means its superstar ingredients have more time to go to work while you sleep. I get my zen moment at night and glowing skin in the AM!"
